Social Fund Funerals

This funeral service is provided for those who are entitled to claim assistance from the DWP Social Fund. The current entitlement is capped at £700 (as at 1st January 2007). For this amount we are pleased to offer the following service.

The Social Fund Funeral Option includes:
A saloon motor hearse complete with funeral director and staff, meeting at a local crematorium or cemetery.

The attention of your Personal Funeral Adviser throughout proceedings to ensure the smooth running of events.

The payment of all disbursements on your behalf. (See below)
Provision of a simple wooden coffin, fully lined and fitted.
Bringing your loved one into our care within a 20 mile radius during normal working hours.

24 hour support and assistance up to the time of the funeral.

Please note:

The DWP payment does not include a clergy or other officiant’s fee.

The funeral must take place at a day and time of our choosing.

The claim must be confirmed by the DWP before the booking is made. We can help with this.
